She hosted the show Lanka Business Report which focused on Sri Lankan Business. Padukone was born to tennis star Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was a teenager she was a badminton player in the national championships, but she ended her professional career to pursue a career as a model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her native language is Konkani. Her ancestors hail from the town of Padukone in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state of India. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player with international recognition. Her mother is a travel agent.
